Welcome to Jess Works Architecture
The founder of Jess Works, Jessie Murphy, has always known that architecture was her calling. From a young age, she had a fascination with the built world and enjoys the whole spectrum of the architecture and construction process. She grew up in Florida where she received a Bachelor of Design from the University of Florida. From there, she moved to St. Louis where she started her career in architecture at a design/build firm. She chose to further her education at the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana where she received dual Master’s degrees in Architecture and Civil Engineering with a focus on construction management. She moved to Louisville in 2008 and started her family soon after. Louisville has become home to Jessie, her husband and two kids. She has had various roles in architecture as she raised her children and began focusing primarily on residential work in 2017. Jessie is truly passionate about what she does and considers it a privilege to be a part of your journey in creating or transforming your home.
Jessie is a member of AIA, NCARB, is a LEED Green Associate. She is licensed to practice architecture in Kentucky, Indiana, Tennessee, Georgia and South Carolina. She serves as a volunteer on the Architectural Review Committee for the Clifton Preservation District.
